Mas, Ortega and Rigau to go on trial for 9-N

A Catalan Supreme Court judge has admitted evidence that Artur Mas, Joana Ortega and Irene Rigau committed the crimes of disobedience and prevarication in promoting the 9-N consultation on Catalan independence and they will be sent to trial. Catalan government spokesperson Neus Munté responded yesterday, saying “This is shameful, all democrats should be blushing at this”, before adding that the consultation was “a great success” of which the government is proud.
